Stands at COOLMORE, NSW, for $110,000

An $875,000 yearling, Home Affairs already had pedigree and athletic looks before he reached the racetrack, and he quickly proved he had plenty of speed and ability too. First sighted as a January two-year-old in the Gr.3 Canonbury Stakes when he ran second, he quickly broke his maiden tag when winning the Gr.2 Silver Slipper Stakes at only his second start. Third in the Gr.2 Todman Stakes behind Anamoe, Home Affairs ran in the Slipper to end his two-year-old season with a win and two placings from four starts – all in group company.

As a three-year-old, Home Affairs carried on the same way, winning the Listed Heritage Stakes first up, then being asked to run against the older sprinters in The Everest (his only start not in a black type race). He bounced back from The Everest effort to win the Gr.1 Coolmore Stud Stakes, before showing it was no fluke by winning the Gr.1 Lightning Stakes against the older horses in his first run as an autumn three-year-old. He retired with two Gr.1 sprint wins, a group win as a two-year-old, and a total of four wins and two placings from nine starts with earnings over $2.2million.

I Am Invincible is one of the hottest stallions in Australia with 75 stakes winners and multiple Gr.1 winners. He produces the type of sprinter that Australia loves, and Home Affairs is an outstanding example of that. Home Affairs will join the likes of Brazen Beau, Hellbent, I Am Immortal, Overshare, Strasbourg, and Super One as young sons of I Am Invincible.

Unsurprisingly for an expensive yearling, Home Affairs has a strong pedigree, being out of a winning Flying Spur mare, who has also left Gr.1 placed winner Aysar. Home Affair’s dam is a half-sister to Gr.1 winner Russian Revolution and group winner Turbo Miss.
Home Affairs lived up to expectations set by his pedigree and price by winning two Gr.1 sprints, and showed his talent early with a group win as a two-year-old at only his second start. He’s a worthy successor to his sire.
