Horse of the Year in Europe, Champion 2YO and Champion 3YO. There aren’t many superlatives that can describe the race record of St Mark’s Basilica that his collection of championship titles don’t already say. Winner of two of his five starts at two, including the Newmarket Dewhurst Stakes-Gr1, St Mark’s Basilica improved at three to win all of his four starts and all at Gr1 level.
Those wins were in the Chantilly Prix du Jockey Club-Gr1, Leopardstown Irish Champion Stakes-Gr1, Sandown Eclipse Stakes-Gr1and the Poule d’Essai des Poulains-Gr1. As a yearling, St Mark’s Basilica cost 1.3million guineas and he certainly lived up to the expectations set by his price with five Gr1 wins.

St Mark’s Basilica, as expected from his yearling price, is from group winning two year-old, who has left four winners to date, including The Two Thousand Guineas-Gr1 winner, and Champion 3YO Miler in Ireland, Magna Grecia.
