Winner of his only start, the Listed Inglis Nursery Stakes, Acrobat was unfortunately retired after a hock injury became infected. Coolmore Stud don’t often stand a non-Gr1 winner but are making an exception for Acrobat because of the time he ran at his only start. He covered the 1,000m in a track record time of 56.02.

Acrobat has the pedigree to back up his claims, being by Champion Sire Fastnet Rock, whose 185 stakes winners include Gr1 winners Merchant Navy, Atlantic Jewel, Gr1 Blue Diamond winner Catchy, Gr1 Diamond Stakes winner Heroic Valour, as well as sire sons Foxwedge, Hinchinbrook, and Smart Missile.

A son of Gr2 winner Hips Don’t Lie, who won four races as a two year-old, Acrobat is a full brother to two other stakes winners, being group winner Ennis Hill, and Listed winner Lake Geneva (who was placed in both the Gr1 Golden Slipper and Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes), as well as group placed winner Memphis Rock. Hips Don’t Lie is a half-sister to group placed winner Acquired, dam of Gr2 winner Splintex (Snitzel) and Listed winner Invictus Salute (Exceed and Excel).
