An early maturing colt with the pedigree to match, Barbaric won the Gr3 Black Opal Stakes at only his third start, taking his record as a two year-old to two wins from three starts. Barbaric was a $900,000 yearling at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, a testament to the strength of his pedigree, and his good looks.

Barbaric’s sire I Am Invincible is one of the hottest stallions in Australia with 75 stakes winners including Gr1 winners Marabi, Loving Gaby, Home Affairs, Brazen Beau, Hellbent, Invicibella, Voodoo Lad, I Am A Star, Viddora, Media Sensation, Oohood, and Imperatriz. A Gr3 winner who was Gr1 placed, I Am Invincible was the Champion Sire of 2YOs in Australia in 2018/19, and has been second on the general sires table on four occasions.

Out of Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Mimi Lebrock (Show a Heart) who went on as an older horse to win the Tristarc Stakes-Gr2 and Let’s Elope Stakes-Gr3 and was placed in both the Emirates Stakes-Gr1 and Myer Classic-Gr1. As a broodmare, she’s passed on her own speed, not just through Barbaric, but also with her other four winners, as well as Gr3 Gimcrack placegetter Diddles (Snitzel). Mimi Lebrock is a half-sister to group winners Heavenly Thought (So You Think) and Shoko (Sebring).
