Champion 3YO Colt in Europe, Palace Pier is a multiple Gr1 winner at both three and four. Unbeaten in two starts over 1400m as a two year-old, Palace Pier came into his own at three, winning three of his four starts including the Deauville Prix Jacques Le Marois-Gr1 and the Royal Ascot St James’s Palace Stake-Gr1, both over a mile. His other start at three was a third placing in the Ascot Queen Elizabeth II Stakes-Gr1. Back at four, Palace Pier again dominated winning four of his five starts, including wins in the Deauville Prix Jacques Le Marois-Gr1 (becoming the first horse in 25 years to win this race back-to-back), Newbury Lockinge Stakes-Gr1and the Royal Ascot Queen Anne Stakes-Gr1, all at a mile, as well as going one better than the previous season in the Ascot Queen Elizabeth II Stakes-Gr1 with a second placing. All up, he won nine of his eleven starts, five at Gr1 level, and was ranked Champion 3YO Colt in Europe and Champion Older Miler in Europe as a four-year-old.

Horse of the Year in Europe in 2014, Kingman retired to stud in 2015, and Palace Pier is from his second crop. Kingman has been an exciting young stallion with 43 stakes winners and four Gr1 winners at this early stage.
Palace Pier is from a strong European family, with his unraced dam being a half-sister to Gr2 winner and Gr1 placed Joviality (Cape Cross) and to a horse that Australians will be familiar with in Bonfire (Manduro) who won the York Stakes-Gr2 and was Gr1 placed in France before arriving in Australia where he won a Listed race.
The best son of Kingman, who looks to be the next big thing in Europe, Palace Pier is a five-time Gr1 winner who excelled at a mile.
