Profiteer showed his quality early winning on debut as a December two year-old, then went on to win the Listed Inglis 2YO Millennium at his next start. Second in the Todman Stakes-Gr2 to Anamoe, Profiteer came back at three to win again, as well as place second in the Blue Sapphire Stakes-Gr3 behind Extreme Warrior. All bar two of his nine starts were in stakes company, and he retired with three wins and two seconds with earnings over $1.5million.
Profiteer with stand alongside his sire, Golden Slipper-Gr1 winner Capitalist whose oldest foals are only three year-olds, and include eight stakes winners led by Gr1 winner Capivant. Capitalist sired eleven stakes performed two year-olds in his first crop, living up to his own precocious race record, and Profiteer was one of them. Like Golden Slipper Mossfun, Profiteer is out a Snitzel mare, as is Capitalist group winner Marine One.

The first foal of group placed winner Athena Lass (Snitzel), this is a strong colonial family. Athena Lass is a half-sister to Listed winner Euryale (Lonhro), while Profiteer’s third dam is Gr1 winner Danglissa, who boasts Sweet Redemption and Unite and Conquer among her descendants.
For breeders looking for an early maturing two year-old with a pedigree that also screams early speed, Profiteer is a great value for money proposition.
